If it's the basic maintanence you want to do, definitely get the Haynes manual which will give you a lot more than basic but covers the basic a lot more throughly than the owner's manual. I have the Haynes and the Triumph shop manual which I would recommend if you don't mind spending the money. You can get one for $70. from some dealers (check out Coweta Custom Cycles).
For now, definitely get the Haynes, it's way too informative not to have for the resonable cost - not to mention all the pictures.
