Robba just PM'd me to tell me he was picking up Dwight at the airport. Just after I received the PM I felt a disturbance in the "Force", I knew that Dwight had just landed at Manchester airport. There is now an imbalance of negative and positive matter in NH. I hope it doesn't open up a worm hole or warp time and space. It could suck the whole state into an parallel dimension. Which would be a bad thing. I don't think Maine and Vermont could get along next to each other.

I can't believe that Socal Dwight actually flew willingly to New Hampshire this time of year. They'd have to drag me kicking and screaming to get on that flight in the dead of winter. Just take care of him and get him back home alive, because he's got a rally to host in May. He should be thawed out by then, right?

Cheers, Dwight (Ya know, as "they" say..."There's nothing WORSE than a reformed smoker")
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

we have to keep sharing the screen but don't let him kid you he's hammered and it's effecting his judgement... I'm not a reformed smoker I'm a wannabe smoker...much more dangerous than a reformed smoker.... you should hear the political and religious rants we've been on....they would surely be deleated from BA.com.....by those in power... The hammer of Smiting would be tired and broken here at the Johnson abode....tonight.... thankfully there is always Scotch....and a damm good one at that....

Okay Derek,
We're TOO MANY scotches into this to debate the finer points of a good single malt as compared to Kentucky's finest right now!!! But, the consenus is HERE(presently in NH) that you're a little mistaken in your choice of potent potables!
Cheers, Dwight (if ANY of the above makes the least amount of sense, than YOU'RE TOO SOBER at this juncture of the debate to be a viable participant)
(YES.....I'M %^#%$#&^^*%$ HAMMERED!!!)

Maybe I missed something here, but when was NH NOT in a parallel dimension?

Well if you were here we might entertain that.... and BTW why when we say "debate" does it then become an arguement

Well personally, whenever bourbon is involved (or consumed), debates have the tendency of turning into argrments.

I believe we've had this discussion before...bourbon vs scotch. All I have to say about it is that bourbon must be made, by law, with newly charred white oak barrels. What do they do with those barrels after they're done with them? They ship them off to scotch makers(and tequila producers too). Now you might think that a superior product can be made from leftovers and discards, but I beg to differ. And even if you are on the side of scotch, there still lies the fact that chances are there's a little bit of bourbon flavor left in the barrel, so that bourbon is contributing to what you think is a better spirit. OTOH, when drinking bourbon, there isn't any scotch in it at all. Nothing can be added at bottling to enhance flavor, add sweetness or alter color. It is what I like to call a pure spirit. It's made from all natural ingredients and nothing is artificially added. On a particular distasteful level to this bourbon purist, is the report that a certain scotch maker likes to claim that their offerings are aged in "bourbon barrels", when in fact they use leftover Jack Daniels barrels. And as anyone knows, Jack Daniels is NOT bourbon, but some abomination made in Tennessee.

While that's true in some cases, a couple of the better single malts are aged in sherry casks. I won't take either side in this "debate" as I enjoy whiskey as well as whisky .

Bourbon or sherry casks, it's still leftovers. Must be an inferior product if they have to add some other flavor to it.
