it all boil's down to one thing...

WHAT COLOR ARE YOUR PLUGS..

BIKER

I hadn't ridden the bike between the time I first posted and when I posted this morning, and planed to check the new plugs I bought last night after work tonight.

Here is how it went.......... I didn't want to try two things at once, and I had a little more time tonight, enough for two test runs.

First run... I put a paper filter and stock filter cap back in to richen things up a little, and went for a ride. Dogging and missing stopped, but I don't think it was pulling as hard as it did with the old jets, stock air box, and k&n.

Second run.... New standard plugs everything else the same. Plugs were light... not white but light... definitely not tan.

I had run the new side cut plugs for while with the TOR's and the original paper filter before I installed the K&N. They were black around the ring of the end of the plug when I checked them,I thought way too rich. Info on the web site, and the jetting calculator backed that notion up.

Obviously (Biker) I am too lean now as the new plugs have indicated, even with a more restrictive air intake.

Soooooo...... the 132.5's go back in........ K&N goes back in...... and I go to the store for two more new plugs... (only $1.59)

Thanks for your help. Guess I just paniced when it ran so bad after what I thought was a small change. I will post again when I have the jets changed back, and new plugs read.
