The legendary Dick Dale, King of the surf guitar, is coming to Tucson the end of this month. Trying to talk my wife into going. Sure hope they have some tickets left. Video of Dick Dale playing Misirlou

Heck, Tell your wife if she doesn't want to go, I'll be your date. Wait, that came out wrong . I think your wife really wants to go, she just might not realize it yet . JH

Man, your killing me with this post. I've managed to just miss Dick Dale two times and it's killing me. Him and Link Wray are on my "must see" list. Just checked Dick Dale's page, no East Coast dates currently listed. Have fun!

I wish he was a bit closer to us. I loved him in the Dodge Ram commercial a while back.

Wow! Thanks for helping me put 2 and 2 together. Know the music, but didn't know the artist. Don't know why anyone wouldn't want to go to that show. Makes ya go 'Duh'. later, Tom.

Yep, also the inspiration for the Ventures (Hawaii Five-0 theme, and Tequila, as well as others), as well as Jan and Dean and the Beach Boys... He IS a legend!

Finally got around to picking up the tickets yesterday. Should be a good show as the venue has a max capacity of 188 people. I'm guessing maybe a 100 will show up.

Wow, talk about contrast. You saw Dick Dale, I saw a "Birthday Tribute to Elvis" by two Elvis impersonators and DJ Fontana. DJ is old...
