I saw an article (included in a previous post) that said if you painted the inside of the pipes with a heat resistant paint the it would stop the blueing.

KEEP YOUR PIPES CLEAN
Next time you splash out on some expensive chrome downpipes, before you fit them sray a good quantity of PJ1 high temp exhaust paint inside the pipe where it fits to the cylinder head. This has the remarkable effect of stopping the pipes from blueing and discolouring and keeps them looking like new. Doesn't seem to work so well on the stainless pipes I just fitted to my Diversion 600, but works very well on big-bore pipes like Harley-Davidson and older British iron.
