There is no charge for just showing up and riding. The money you pay for registration goes toward your t-shirt, Banquet Dinner/Raffle and maybe some area maps.
Whether the demo truck shows up is a 50-50 kind of thing.
The only vendor I ever saw at a Rat Raid was a couple selling discontinued Triumph merchandise out of the back of a van.
