Great news - the Gettysburg RAT Raid was moved from Mother's Day weekend to September 21-23. A big thank you to whoever made the change for the better.

That kinda sux. I was figuring on the 07' NorEaster being the same weekend. Might have to make it a week earlier now.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

I have never been on any raids. From what I hear, they are a blast and the best. Any one know when the Noreast one is and where it is? I am from NY, basically on the border of COnnecticut (15 miles away).

The NorEast Rally is in Canandaigua and typically towards the end of September (3rd weekend usually?)

WOW 50 bucks per person DAM... JUST TO SIGN UP  and it's NON-REFUNDABLE  now i'm sure you get something back for your 50 bucks.... but the NorEaster is just way to much more fun  BIKER

Biker, at the 2006 Pocono RAT Raid there was a turnout of about 200 people. We got a RAT Raid shirt, a reception on Friday night, plus a NICE dinner on Saturday night at the hotel. There were all kinds of giveways too. The weekend was worth every penny. Matt Weinert and Triumph did a great job with it and I never heard a negative comment about the Raid.
Considering how much I've spent on bling for me and the bike $50 is chump change.

is it possible to just show up to the ride for a day-or do most people go for the weekend. i would like to check it out on saturday----can i pay just for that day??? is there many vendors or stuff for sale?? thanks-cliff

There is no charge for just showing up and riding. The money you pay for registration goes toward your t-shirt, Banquet Dinner/Raffle and maybe some area maps.
Whether the demo truck shows up is a 50-50 kind of thing.
The only vendor I ever saw at a Rat Raid was a couple selling discontinued Triumph merchandise out of the back of a van.

Jawbeast, there are usually a number of group rides. If you want to join in you might swing by Friday night to meet some folks then the rides leaver usually right after breakfast on Saturday.

Dunno if I'll make the noreast or not but I'll be at the GBurg raid for sure....living 25 minutes away makes this a no brainer.
Capitol Area Triumph..( our local dealer )...will be there as well as the Harrisburg Rats.
