I'd thought of fitting the floating disk system in the past but someone advised me that I might still get the same problem if the rim/ disk housing's not true...
so it kind of put me off. Anyway, today I decided to order one and see what happens. Hopefully it will solve the problem, I'll get to keep the spokes and as you say it is a cheaper option.
