The spoke breaking issue has been strictly with the Bonnies, from what I've read on the net the last few years. They even have a dedicated sub forum about it on the Delphi Bonnie forum.
There have been Speedmasters with warped rotors, so it just isn't an America only problem. But the Speedmasters also have a different rim for 2007, so you could be right.
