Ok.... if you go to page 9.19 of the factory service manual detailing air box removal there is a note that at the bottom of the process that says to "regularly drain the air box.... (see maintenance schedule)" I have read the maintenance until I'm cross eyed and I see nothing about draining the air box.
In the manual that comes with the bike, the only mention of the air filter or box is in the maintenance schedule, where it tells you to change the filter at 12000 miles or two years. Amazingly there is nothing in the rest of the book, that I can see, that gives any info on how to perform the replacement.
