Well we have been looking, etc. and finally found a bike for me. We are heading to get it today. It is an '06 Triumph America. So exciting! I know I know..........I didn't even take the MSF class yet. I really can't wait for the class.........it is only 13 days away now and coming up fast. As for the bike...........it was such a good deal we just couldn't let it pass. I will let you know how it goes........ ~*~ Painted Lady

Had my "BIG" day the 23 of march 2002, so soon to be a 5 year America owner!

Never did regret my choice of bike for one second!

Have a blast and ride safe!

I am going to take the class seriously and practice....practice........practice. I really look forward to the day when I can easily ride with my hubby. I know that will be awhile. One step at a time. ~*~ Painted Lady

HOORAY and WAHOOOOOOO Donna!
What color did you choose?
When I got my America in August, I sent out a "Birth Announcement" via email, with pictures of course, to all my friends and family.
It's a perfect day to bring home a new motorcycle!

Yea Donna!!!
You're gonna love your new scooter. I believe your husband will get one too after he sees all the attention your bike gets, over his 'run-o-the mill' HD (yes, even a chopper). Learn your Triumph history, because you're gonna be asked a lot of questions and be caught up in seemingly endless conversations at gas stations.
Get to the meet & greet up at Lake Okeechobee (i never could spell that), and learn to ride in a small group. You can do it!!!
DON'T FORGET... POST SOME PICS OF THE NEW BABY, WITH YOU AND YOUR HUBBY. I love to see those smiles. I've still got mine after 5 years and 1 month.

Ride Safe, Dennis Triumph, it's how I live and what I ride.

Congratulations. You are going to like that bike a lot, especially when you get all the attention and (..ahem..) others do not.

I took the MSF class to regain my MC license that I had let lapse. The class provided a 250 Suzuki, which I rode while my brand new Speedmaster sat home in the garage. It nearly killed me. It's all history now.

WooHooo Donna. You'll love it.
What color? (Silver goes faster)
Don't forget to yank that AI off as soon as you get it. You may need to back those mixture screws out about a 1/2 turn as well.
Then Ride, Ride, Paint, Ride, Think of a painting, Ride Paint , Ride.... You get the picture.

You will love it. Just don't be afraid to go slowly on it till you have some experience. Just go slowly and get lots of experience... like ride it loads!!!

I guess that as you now have a little tank in your box next to your message...it's a red one...?

Hi Donna,

Congratulations on the new bike. An excellent choice and I am not prejudiced in any way!

Sounds like you are a new rider? May I make a sugestion? Once you have passed your course, practice in your neighborhood and local parking lots to gain the handling experience you will need for the roads. Practice until shifting, braking, turning, stopping, etc. become second nature. It will make you a better rider.
