Ok here's the short version....
Notice the double bar that holds the foot pegs to the frame. It's held on by 4 bolts. I forget the thread on them, but u can take one off and go to the hardware store and get 4 more of the same thread but about a half inch, maybe 3/4 of an inch longer. Also get a few packets of stainless washers that will fit around them. Then you loosen all 4 bolts, remove them one at a time and stack a few washers in between the frame and the bars. I think I have 11 on the top ones, 9 on the bottom ones.
Now here's the tricky part... I was worried that would shift my rear brake cylinder too close to the header, so I made an aluminum adapter plate to shift the master cylinder back. I'll try to take some good pics of it... Only used a hack saw, my drill, and cleaned it up with the dremel, no machine shop required.... I'll try to do a proper write up on the whole mod sometime... Doesn't pick up thaaaat much leg room, but it's a little!!
