The BAs and Speedies have peg positions that would scape the tarmac WAY before those beautiful italian numbers would. Yes, they are "made to go fast", BUT, I think what we're talking about here is a little matter of "propriety". Those gentlemen may be "living their lives the way they choose"(a time-honored American trait), but it still doesn't make going THAT FAST in those conditions, "right".(one of the things that's always grated about this here American "trait" of saying that "we should all have to FREEDOM to choose", is that there are WAY TOO MANY dunderheads out there who haven't a clue as to what the word "propriety" even MEANS!...but before Larry and/or Kevin start lecturing me about "freedom", I'll stop digressing)
And come on...I can ride "a bit" at "speed",(have to admit I've done something CLOSE to this video's performance a number of times out there on public roads) BUT, even though those "innocent bystanders" and especially those bicyclist MAY stand a "better" chance of being taken out by a cager, it still doesn't "make it right" for those guys to be going THAT FAST.(even if they were "only" going 9/10ths on this video)
AND...one of the MAIN REASONS that many non-riders out there ARE "anti-motorcycle, is that there are TOO MANY motorcyclists who have never even HEARD the word..."propriety"!(guess it's just not "macho enough" a word for 'em)
And BTW...I DON'T and never have prescribed to the notion of.."Ride it like you stole it". Seems to me you'd be lookin' too much in those mirrors for the cops, and NOT watchin' what's comin' up ahead!!!
