If pipes are not double walled, they will blue or color, depending on the material- i.e. stainless steel or chromed rolled mild. As for the coatings, some companies like Hooker for example(they make 'em for HD's and others but not ours) puts a ceramic coating on the inside of their pipes/headers and they don't color.
