In the year under review[2006] sales of Triumph motorcycles rose to 37,400 units. This represents a growth of 18% compared to the previous year’s sales of 31,600 units. The operating profit, before interest and tax, stayed almost constant at GBP 10.3 million (USD 19.1m) due to significant investment in new production capacity.
