I can't do the second suggestion. I only get a certain amount of leave from work and most of that is already taken up with going to Oz. That was planned long before I even got my America and is even more important now. It'll be my nephew's first birthday while I'm there.

Also £300 is half of the cost of my flight over there...
Or nearly all of a flight to the US to visit my aunt.
Or a lot of parts to get the 03 back on road.
I can do Friday to Monday - wherever - but that really is all. Unless in the roster change in June things really change a lot and the first week in August falls on a week off that happens as part of the roster. Or even a wekkend off... which is neither at the mo.
It's not that I don't want to go to Sweden - I'd love too - but we have to be practical. Most of the Euro members are gonna have to cross water to get there. The majority of the most are looking at £300. Each. If their partners are going...twice that. That's before fuel, food, and anything else.
Then also look back at the original thread on the Euro Rally. There are possibly a couple of Americans coming too. So they're gonna have all this plus flights and vehicle hire too.
I'm not against the Euro - far from it - but we have to go somewhere that is practical for all the members. Both in terms of distance and cost.
Now where's my tablets?
