After running off the road and sailing over the handlebars breaking the windshield and my collar bone and a rib, I want a new jacket.
I am thinking it should have shoulder armour. The thought of landing hard again without armor is not pleasant.
What is you favorite jacket with shoulder armour, preferably made of leather?
Thanks.

I have the Triumph Integra jacket which was great for summer and early fall. Best part was the built in rain cover which stores in a pocket on the back of the jacket. I never really got to test the rain cover in a hard rain, but I rode for about an hour in a light rain and it kept me completely dry. It comes with shoulder, elbow and back protection. This seller on eBay has been listing them at a nice discount compared to buying them at your local dealer. For leather, I was considering the First Gear Scout jacket which had a lot of nice features. I think you can find it cheaper than what New Enough lists it though. I ended up buying a new-old-stock FirstGear "Rocker" jacket on ebay for $100... it's OK for the price I paid, but I wouldn't have paid full price for it.

Another vote for the Retro Paddock jacket (textile). Perfect for all three seasons.

Although I haven't put it to the stress test, I love my Cortech CX Air with the zip out liner. It's way too hot in Texas during the summer for leather and the Cortech works well down in the low 40's and is tolerable in the high 90's. Above or below that, I use other transportation.
I think the armor might prevent minor injuries at low speeds but a crash over 30 mph is going to create serious pain.

I bought one of these on ebay for less than $200. I like it as much as I do my bike and for all the same kind of reasons. Here is the Vanson site http://www.vansonleathers.com/obsolete_products/stur_sturgis.htm

I have an Integra too. Good when it's warm.... The waterproof cover is the best idea. My previous jacket was not waterproof and I wsa always cursing forgetting my waterproofs...
Over the winter I'm wearing a Triumph Speedking. I bought it at a Triumph clearence sale, and it's a couple of seasons old. That is really waterproof (it hasn't stopped raining since I got the 06) and windproof. And WARM!

I am thinking that the First Gear Scout is the jacket for me, but first I have to get off the computer and go make some more banjos! Banjos=cash.

My favorite warm weather riding jacket is my Lee denim jacket about 10 yrs old, Surprised it still fits.
Favorite cold weather is that leather one with all the snps and zppers the wife got me a couple years ago. Think she picked it up at flee market or somthing. Right cuff zipper is ground off form sliding on the pavment some other scuffs on the right arm.
No logo's or armor but I might sow a Triumph patch on the demin this summer who knows.

My fav is the Triumph Classic leather jacket. No longer in the catalog, it is on the rack at British-USA, in several sizes. May still be available elsewhere, but I have not searched for a pic.
Shoulder, elbow and back protection, all removable. The jacket is longer than waste length, with a tall stand-up collar. I bought the Triumph Fleece neck warmer and it keeps me toasty. The jacket is almost "dressy", and no one even suspects it has armor in it.
I hate putting it up in the late Spring, and love getting it back out in the early Fall.
The armor is totally non-intrusive. The only draw back I can think of, is packability, and then only if way too warm in the daytime to wear it. Happens here alot, though the same morning or night it could be plenty comfortable. I have folded it and strapped it onto the rear fender under a duffle.
For the $280 I gave for it, I could not pass it up. British-USA sells everything for a lot more than that normally - even jackets listing on the Triumph site for a lot less. I wasn't looking for this style at the time - liked the Triumph Bomber a lot more (another fine choice they discontinued). But I am very happy I took it then.
The Classic is satin lined only, with no thermal liner. It is roomy enough to layer well beneath it though.

I bought a jacket from these guys, http://sacramento.citysearch.com/profile/1287059/yuba_city_ca/purple_hog_leathers.html over 20 years ago and it's still in good shape. The price was right and I got lifetime repairs if I ever need them. It's a little on the heavy side as compared to the ones you get from the "Buy a lifestyle" boutiques, but that is all the better.

Mine is my roo skin Walden Miller, slightly modified to my specs. A bit expensive but roo leather is the best in the world and I fully expect it to outlast me.

I have two favorites, they are both leather Triumph Retro jackets. One is perforated and one not. They are both very well made and have armour. The standard is very comfortable in cold weather with just a long sleeve T , gloves and a buff. The perforated version is comfortable to the mid to upper 90s in summer unless you're caught in very slow city traffic. Bought the standard for 25% off, about $300. Bought the perforated almost new from someone on this site in 04 for $150.
