Around here, it's expected that everyone is armed. House burglars have to be out of their heads, you couldn't pay me to walk into a house unannounced. Our legislature meets for 90 days every other year and many people think that's too much. I have always enjoyed the Texas political scene from a distance however. Who's the columnist, Molly something? She cracks me up. My sister and family live in Richardson, TX, they roll their eyes once in awhile. I spent 10-11 years in Utah, I pacified my folks that a 'Utah liberal' pretty much falls in the Newt Gingrich camp elsewhere in the free world. When I would enter the local Ward polling place, I always suspicioned the blue haired ladies filed my ballot into the waste basket. Nice place though, I'd move back to the red rock desert part in a heartbeat.
