The free DVD is reasonable. But as usual left me wanting more. Now all I need is to find out how much the new TBA wheels are and have 2 sets spoked for summer, alloys for winter. This may utimately lead to divorce for next xmas.

I haven't received mine yet either. It's good to see they're finally doing something for the America and Speedmaster owners.

I didnt even get the last issue of torque, hopefully I'll get this one. I've spent the last two years begging for coverage of our bikes.

Not here yet either.....perhaps one of the Brits can scan and post it.

Me too!! It appears that I got my bike a few weeks late. Triumphs web site says that if you register after 1Dec then you won't start getting Torque until the spring mag comes out! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Can anyone help a fellow speedy owner out!!!

Ah haa! That spLains it LUCY!
I haven't gotten mine and if I member right, I re-enrolled the first week of December. Darn. You would think they would send us a reminder to sign up each year.

Okay, just got back from renewing. That is one of the worst-designed processes/web forms I've ever seen.

You mean we have to re-enlist every year???
You had to before. And had to pay the second and every other year too. It was only the first year you got free. And that was only if you bought a new bike. Those of us who bought used had to pay from the outset. But a reminder in the Autumn Torque would be good. Especially for those who don't live any where near a RAT Pack or the local pack doesn't do anything...

Why not make the renewal date between issues? Or at least send a copy to those members who were valid until the renewal date. After all isn't Torque an advertisment? Hum, I guess the 220 voltage dims the lights somewhat over at the hinckley think-tank. Great day in the morning. I think this issue of Torque rag skipping is EXACTLY why RAT had to reorganize in the first place. M O R O N S

FJ, try doing a job search agent on Intel sometime!!! HA! I was searching their jobs when I was still aiming for Colorado, and let me just say, that besides the BMW Germany Job Search form (which wants to know EVERY detail down to how many cavities you have), it was the most painful ever!! You'd think a big player in the PC industry might actually have a clue... NOT!

I just completed my second renewel for year 3 (2005-2008) and received a confirmation email saying I'm good through 2008 and no request for money.
Like everybody else, I sure wish they let you know when it's renewal time. I can barely remember what I had for lunch yesterday, let alone when my annual free subscription is due. You get what you pay for (nothing) I guess.
Regards,
Tom

Hi Rob
hope you received them alright and can read the writeup, sorry about the format (jpg) but my scanner is a little old, at least you should be able to print them A4 or even use a jpg viewer to zoom right in..

That has got to be one of the dumbest, poorly designed renewal processes ever...Or it could be me..I was just about ready to click canel my frigging membership when all of the sudden it said I was renewed. I still don't understand it.

Apart from the pretty pictures in "Torque," what is the purpose of signing up for RAT? I mean, honestly, I appreciate membership is free, but then again you get what you pay for.
Here - for those of you who are interested - is what the official Triumph site say about why you should join:
"A new and exciting future for R.A.T. membership.
The Riders Association of Triumph re-launches on December 1, 2005 with an exciting new initiative. Membership of R.A.T. will be free of charge for any current owner of a Hinckley Triumph.
As a member of the Riders Association, you will receive Torque magazine on a quarterly basis. Torque is the official insight into the world of Triumph Motorcycles, and is your starting point to pick and choose the best way to fulfill your riding ambitions.
Keep visiting these pages and be prepared for lift off in December 2005!"
Er, not to point out the bleedin' obvious, but this is now January 2007 and that information is a little out of date (I did want to say "moribund" but that would simply be pretentious). So other than "Torque," what else have the Romans ever done for us? Oops, sorry, slip into "Python" there.
I get all I need to know about Triumph and my bike from - gulp - the folks on this site. My subscription to bonnevilleamerica.com (which DOESN'T require an annual re-order) is just fine.
And hey, I can go to many different web sites directly to find out about events. So I am happy that Triumph build bikes and that they continue to do that. I am grateful for their work in creating unique motorcycles with individuality and style. And I support them as a business and want to see them continue to succeed. But the whole "customer support" thing doesn't work for me at all. Improve it, drop it, or just post links to this site.
Siggy
If life wasn't so pointless and absurd, I would take it more seriously.

Tom
I had to speak to the folks at RAT to get mine renewed.(Couldn't remember login or password!! ) They did point out that although the emails say 2008, it is only good until Dec 2007, so you will have to do it all again in 11 months time!
