*note: [The first paragraph is the long version, the second paragraph is the short version} BikeBandit has rediculous turnaround time for your orders! I ordered a Oil pressure switch from them on Dec 7th. (I figured I would give them a try since they now carry our OEM parts). They said it could take an extra 7 days to get the order. No problem I said. Well after 2 weeks, I called to see whats up. They said the order would ship in a couple days. Well a couple days later I had to call again (a Friday) They said it would for sure ship on Monday. Well, another week goes by so I had to call again, Needless to say they give me the run around again. Now they say for sure it will ship in 2 days. I have no intention on believing them but we'll see. Long story short... If you need a part your dealer can probably get it a whole lot quicker.

Just a guess, but since they aren't a Triumph dealer, they probably order FROM a Triumph dealer, then ship the parts out. Maybe to drum up traffic to their site, maybe a few sheckels made in "S&H", who knows? But their prices are the same.

Talk about timely info! Big Poppy just PM'd me that a carb part we've been waiting for still isn't in. Yikes, wanted to install this Saturday. SteveB

My first and only experience with BB was while looking for parts that I couldn't get elsewhere. The wait wasn't a factor so I can't recall the lag time. Perhaps they're best used when both factors (can't find elsewhere, and doesn't matter when) play into it.

Yep, I ordered touch up paint, figuring it would save me a trip to the dealer. Ordered it 10 days ago, just rec'd the email yesterday it had shipped. Good prices, but certainly not speedy.

Do you have a phone number I been dealing with them via e-mails the must have a phone number on thier CS site but it must be buried as I can not find it.
I lost a part to XHD carb (needle jet keihin part # 5566832) 03 TBA. The bike is ready to go back together, but we can not do anything without this part.
Any one know where I can get one I will pay the overnight shipping charges if someone has one.

I ordered a bottle of touch-up paint (rock chip) from bikebandit on 12/14/2006 and was emailed that it shipped 12/26/2006. I could be wrong, but I thought the time delay might have been: 1. It wasn't in stock, or 2. holiday season madness.
I always expect some delay for on-line order shipments. A week or two is somewhat standard, though I think I would be impatient if the bike was down during that time frame.
Two of my 4-5 orders from Brent's place were incomplete due to out of stock parts and took up to two weeks to ship.
I try to call or email to see if the item is in stock ever since my Thunderbike experience. Great product, but a month to ship makes it awfully hard to fully recommend them.
Some on-line suppliers are able to state on their site whether the item is in stock or not and its estimated availability. I wish they all could pull this off.
I guess one of the hazards of "going your own way" is forced internet shopping for some items. Not many parts unique to our bikes in my local area.
Regards,
Tom

I've not ordered from BikeBandit, but as far as I've looked at OEM parts there, the prices are a wee bit high. My Triumph stealer charges full retail on everything and nothing is ever in stock - they want customers to subsidize their shipping expenses. They charged me $15.00 shipping on TBS needles after I told them to wait until their next order. If I wanted the TBS needles mailed to the house, it would've been another $10.00. Since then, I look up the needed parts on my CD from "fiche-man" and send Bob&Marnie an email at Palm Beach Ducati/Triumph or order through their website. They usually give a discount and I only pay actual mail rates for shipping. Parts are always here in a week. It's funny that my dealer is 40 miles away, but I get my parts from 900 miles away. I am sure the South Florida folks will tell you that Palm Beach is a super nice place to deal with.

(619) 623-3661 They do not have there number posted anywhere.
THIS PLACE SUCKS IN MY BOOK! Almost a month and now they tell me "uh we can't get the part you need sir" It's a friggen Oil Pressure Switch. How hard could that be.?.
I thought it would be nice to give them a try. NOT. STAY AWAY FROM BIKEBANDIT.COM! Just order the part from your dealer is my recommendation.

Bikebandit
They claim to respond back to all e-mails within twenty four hours, well it has been four days now and I still have not heard from them !!
This will be the last time I order anything from them.
I ordered a bunch of stuff from Brent right before Christmas and received everything I orderd in four days. I can live with that type of turn around from on line orders, they have gotten so much better.

I sure wish Brent sold OEM parts.
Could it be possible? Have them drop shipped? Hmmmmm..... ? Ohhhhh Mr.Brent... ?

Dennis/Skillet, Are you talking about Allsport Yamaha/Triumph? Are you thinking about going to the Georgia rally? I have never been, but I might try this year. Also, I like your handle/slogan.

It seems most of the mail order folks are hit or miss. I hate to say it, but in general, the giants often seem to get the job done the best.

Hey Tom, I meant Allsport in Decatur. I love to visit, but hate ordering parts. I went to Dahlonega last year and didn't want to leave. I can't go this year because my youngest daughter is graduating from Texas Bible Institute on the first Saturday in May. I'll send this in a PM to make sure you see it. We need to ride together soon. I plan on visiting Yota this Spring. I'll let you know.

Dennis/Skillet, Look forward to meeting you and riding some. I will be pretty busy this month getting ready for an engineering design review, but will have time in February.

After 1 1/2 months(I called 3 days a week)of messing with Bikebandit for an oil pressure switch, here is my conclusion of the delays. They are not a Triumph Dealer. Triumph will not sell them certain parts either because of this, and BikeBandit does not know which ones they cannot be sold untill the order comes back without the item. Even then they still are not sure and keep trying to order the part untill they finally figure it out. Also I believe they can only order at certain freqencies and must have a minimum order at that time or wait. They do tell you in small print on their site that Triumph parts will take an extra 7 days. Well, on the phone they told me it could be longer depending on how many *-insert pause and change of subject-*. They are prettymuch useless and should be discarded from our world. (F.W.I.W. The schematics there do not give you the Triumph part number either) Many others have dealt with http://www.palmbeachtriumph.com I say they would be your best bet if you are looking to order from a dealer.
