Looking for anyone who has gone over the limit (or knows of a kit) and put a wide tire kit on their speedmaster. Not looking for the 180/70 you can get easily..looking for a FAT FAT FAT kit.

Best looking black girl around! 2004 SM-spokes, solo seat, lowered rear, 14 in apes, bobber rear fender, no front fender. Flat black all the way around. Jeff

There's no kit but Rick Fairless did a fat tire on a Triumph chopper on Biker Build-off. Had to use a jack shaft to keep the tire centered in the frame. I doubt you'll ever see a kit.

The Euro Shop out of Waco, Texas used to do conversion kits that would put a 200 wide tire on the back, but that's the widest I've heard.

I am not sure what the point would be other than looks. I would think that with the fatter tire you go, the more you would lose in handling.

I agree that the whole idea behind a really fat tire is simply the look of the thing.

A fat tire simply degrades handling and turns a real scooter into a boulevard bling thing suitable only for going in a straight line and then laboriously turning to once more go up the boulevard.

Nothing wrong with that if its what one wants. If I had a boulevard bling cruiser of any variety I'd have to have a real motorcycle for real riding as well.
