OK,
I got a tank bib and a Triumph watch. I love the tank bib but the watch is the biggest chronograph I've ever seen. I'm not much for wearing an anchor around my wrist. Then I thought I could mount it to the bike somehow. Possibly to the stem nut. It would be a cool piece. It's water resistant to 100 meters and has all kinds of guages on the thing. It also has an illuminated dial.

I received a Triumph chronograph watch as well, and while it's face is larger than the watch I was wearing, it weighs about the same, so I don't notice it at all.

Brent's new carb needles, the solo seat bolt, and a wonderful set of Rivco risers. The workmanship is stunning! My wife didn't get any mints.

Merry Christmas to all, and ride safe.

Rivco turn signal relocator kit, here.

Can't use it though, due to already having a lightbar. I'll return it for the shift cable dressup kit and cable bracket.

I'm happy that someone in the family got me something for the bike. (the kids came through)

I had emailed a list of links to a few of Brent's goodies to family members (mom, kids, wife), trying to make their shopping for me easier.

And tho its not triumph related, Santa was very good to me!
From the BF, a very nice tasteful diamond pendant! Blew me away!

Nology coils
Oil pressure gauge

Triumph goodies:

Lightweight bike cover and (2) Triumph Motorcycle books by Timothy Remus.

The books should help me to learn some of the essential Triumph trivia. Might also help fill the gap from now till spring. Don't know what I'll do tomorrow though???

It used to be, Paula. Back in the day, that is.

Bud Ekins(the gentleman and ex-racer/stuntman and the guy who REALLY flew that old Triumph made to "look German" over the barbed wire in the movie "The Great Escape") had a shop for many years situated within the confines of the San Fernando Valley where he sold and serviced the old Meriden-built Triumphs. He still operated the shop until a few years ago servicing the old stuff.

Among his best customers and friends at the time was the gent he doubled for in that famous movie jump.

I've seen him around a couple a times recently at some of these classic bike shows that pop up in SoCal. Bud's lookin' every bit of age today, but is still soldering on and loves to talk about the old Days Of Yore and old machines.

Cheers,
Dwight

Way cool! Thanks Dwight! Now I'm whistling that song from "The Great Escape" . (It's making me think of skipping school....we'd sneak off the school grounds, off into the woods, whistling....)

I'd heard Bud Ekins also did the stunt in Bullitt during the famous car chase scene near the end of it where a rider coming head on lays it down. Might try a IMDB search with his name to find out which movies he worked on. I'm sure he's listed.

I'm a huge S King fan and have been for years. Always buy his newest book within the first few days and will usually read the book a little bit every day until I'm done - usually a week or two.

Having said that, Lisey's Story was a difficult read. I finished it out of "loyalty" and it took me 2 months to finish it. Just never could get into it, but you're experience may differ.

Now, Cell, which was published earlier in the year, was an awesome story IMHO.
