Caught a news clip from Columbia SC on the local CBS news.
What caught my eye was a Black/Red Sreedmaster with a side car.
Seems the owner, dressed as Santa tried to abduct a young girl. Thankfully he wasent successful.
Last shot of him was in jail house orange jump suit.
I hope he has a merry christmass as someones jail house B**ch.

I'm glad they caught the guy and the girl is ok. I wish he wasn't on a Speedmaster.

Wow, that's the first I heard on this. I've seen a black and red speedie downtown about 2 months ago but it didn't have a side hack. Didn't have a chance to catch up with the guy since I was in my truck and on my way to work. If that was the same guy and he just recently had the side hack put on then I'm glad I didn't meet up with him.

I just read the article and the guy that kidnapped that little girl lives in the same town as my Triumph dealer (small town, great dealer). I may have to ask them if they know the guy.

He's off this list for that kind of behaviour, right?

Let's not convict the guy just yet - he may just be a drunken fool, not a child abuser / molester.

The tabloid style web site seemed intent upon whipping up a frenzy for the death penalty at the first report, which is typical of modern media that mistakenly call themselves "news" sources.

I think he was just a drunk. He had been giving other kids rides for the last few weeks.
I totally agree LJ the media sucks.

I think and hope it will turn out that this guy is just a good hearted IDIOT.

I learned that word at an early age. Seems that a number of my early school teachers used that word to describe me to my parents.

I posted based on the TV story.
Should have read the news paper first.
Lets hope its a case of poor judgment.
I still think giving kids rides @ 80mph after a few beers should land him in jail. If it had been my daughter I would have kicked his a** till the cops showed up, Speedmaster or not. I have a daughter and two grand daughters and no tolerance for people who behave like jerks around kids. I have to say that this is probably the first time a Speedmaster has made the national news.

1)When Triumph says "go your own way", I don't think this is what they had in mind.

2)A man that old shouldn't be wearing an ACDC t-shirt.

3)"Now he says he will retire his red one for good."

Good riddance.

Really? All I could see was CDC, and thought there was an A in front because of the font style.

Shows you how much I know about jail wear.
