Yes - I have a nice, simple black, rubber grommet that'll work perfectly for the job.

What I meant was after I got the wires pulled thru, I exposed the original wires so I could see which color wire was which (since I used all the same color wire as extensions). So I had kinda squished the SS mesh up, etc. I think I shrink wrapped part of the wires, then slid more not-yet-shrinked wrap up over that, once I finishes slicing, I then slid it down and shrunk it. Clear as mudd?

And yeah, go read that write up

As for the Grommets, I'd still do two holes, and two gromets.
