I doubt if interest in the SM/BA will disappear.
There will be people who can only afford the smaller bike and there will be people who will no doubt have both. Hopefully by the time the new one comes out, I'll be in the two (or more !!) bike catagory.
Plus the new bike, when it arrives, may well look nothing like the current SM/BA and people will want both for that reason.
