[ Hey Ansu- I had the seat shaved down too....and have a new custom made leather seat to put on once I find the right chrome studs to adorn the sides, somewhat Corbinesque is what I'm going for. Put me completely flatfoot. Customizing my seat was a much better use for an electric carving knife than ordinary ol' culinary chores...
Did you get your seat from newbonni? I would rather get new seat, but just wondering how comfortable they really are. And yes I know what you mean about the culinary chores.
Andrea- I had originally ordered (thru my dealer, before getting hooked up with this crew and discovering that Brent from newbonneville is a member here) the seat from newbonnie...waiting, waiting, riding, riding, grinning, grinning, and one day while stopping at a light on a hill, my feet came down to no ground and oopsie over I went. That night a friend who does custom seats/car interiors and I went at my seat with the electric carving knife and a cheese grater. It came out awesome, even custom fit the bucket for my behind and the riding/stationary positions of my legs. I have a gel insert that I'm considering adding to the seat, originally I was going to carve out more foam and drop it into the configuration, but I'm not sure about that yet. I got the lower look to the seat which I always prefer, and got to really fit the seat to my preferences this way.
