Anyone find any good sources for longer cables that will fit the BA/TA/SM? I don't really want to take mine off and send them away to be matched up, but I have no idea where or how to order replacements.
Since I put the Buckhorn handlebars on my TA, the clutch cable and the throttle cables are stretched pretty tight. I could reroute my throttle cables, but the clutch cable is where it is going to be.
Anybody (Phil?) ever measure the stock lengths of these?
Are there different sizes of the ferrules at the ends of the housings? Are there different sizes for the ends that are crimped on the cable itself? Do they come in (drool) chrome???

Any info would be appreciated....
Some of you hardcore customizers would know, I'm just a shade tree kinda mechanic.

Call Kinetic Playground and talk to Donny (918 743 6552).
He has a supplier that already knows the ends for our bikes.
Just give him a measurement.

I got my cables from BellaCorse.
Clutch and Throttle.
Braided Stainless with chrome end fittings , 8" over stock.
I am very happy with them.

Hey Grump,

I went with Barnett for my clutch cable. Yeah, had to mail it to them but the quality is outstanding. Turnaround was 4 days.

The stock clutch cable is 45 1/2" on the housing and 50 1/4" overall.

I am surprised that your throttle cables are too short. Have you rerouted them? I did and they are working fine even with Jim's Spacers still installed.

Forgive me for using the H word, but Some of the independent HD shops carry cables with one end piece loose so you can cut the cable to fit and then crimp the end on. This would at least help with the throttle cables. It would take a bit of engineering to adapt the Triumph clutch cable end, but it could be done.

I didn't get them any longer than stock, but I am happy with my stainless cables from Belle Corse. AND you get nice chrome fittings:)

Thanks for all the replies....
I thought maybe there was something new out there since the last time I Googled the night away looking for cables..
I'm going to call Bella Corse and let them make me some cables.

Just a bit more info, I had to remove the "Jim's Spacers" when I installed the buckhorn bars. I "tweaked" the original routing of the throttle cables but never disconnected them. Now, my stock cables work, but they are just a bit too tight for my liking. And, for me to align the buckhorns perfectly with the forks would put the ends of the bars right on the petrol tank at full turn.
So, I will let Bella Corse advise me on the length and put the spacers back on.

Thanks again for the input.... yunz are too good to me...

I think you'll be happy with them. I know this is somewhat unrelated, but I also had Barnett make me a speedo cable, and I had them make it a half inch shorter, and it doesn't swipe the header anymore! Custom is better:)

Hey Don,

As a starting point, I went 4" over on the throttle cable with the taller bars and the spacers. Perfect length...
