I never tried the big bore with a 16 sprocket. I have been running the 18 for over a year, I even sent my 16 off to Pete the gimp down in Maryland last year.
It is smoother on the highway though.
Accelleration is not an issue, in fact it will go from a dead stop in second gear, accidently did that once and it took right off.
