Okay, I FINALLY got all of my parts for her. I put her together Thursday night and finished up this afternoon, with great hope and intention of being able to ride to my Mom's for Mother's day. Well that didn't pan out. I was sad and angry at the same time. Man did I want to ride. Low to mid 80's, sunny, a light breeze.

Here's the symtoms. I got her started and of course she started a little rough. I figure no big deal since I dropped her last August 15th and I am just finally getting it all together. As she warmed she started to run a little better. Then nothing, she just stopped. Would not start immediately but after a half minute or so she would run again and then just stop. I thought maybe water in the gas or something. Got a gallon of BP premium to no avail. Tried readjusting the mixture screws. Before I put the tank on I swirled gas aroung in it and dumped it. Figured this was a good idea as the tank is fresh from the painter. Didn't see anything. There is a new petcock installed. She pretty much sat at the bike shop all winter waiting for parts. The mechanic (really good guy that isn't there anymore) said that he drained the carbs so they didn't sit with fuel in them all winter.

I need ideas at what to look at. After I put the BP fuel I took her out on the street to see if I could blow it out. Same thing, she would either just die or backfire horribly. She almost threw me off the back on a burst where she died and then power came right back. Could it be vacuum? Will a good blast of carb clean help? Please help! I REALLY NEED TO GET OUT FOR A GOOD RIDE. It's been awhile since I felt the smile.
