Hello, Is it possible to get the airbox out in one (alternative 2) pieces without removing the engine? Also without damage. Thankful for tips on how.

Yes, easy enough to do. Remove the rear wheel, remove the rear shocks, remove the rear fender. remove airbox.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

I thought you could do it without removing the wheel if you jack it up high enough (which requires removing the pipes).

you dont have to remove the rear wheel, just the shocks and pipes, that will give plenty of room

Jack the bike up a little and remove the pipes and rear shocks. Then jack it way up so the rear wheel drops out of the way and the airbox will slide out through the big opening in the rear fender.

I'm impressed and thankfull for the response and information! I will keep you informed about the reason for this exercise - the plan is to install the CRII carb kit.......

Or Bust it to pieces and leave the shocks and jack alone.
