Ive been to Pheonix one time. I came over in 1991 (or was it 92) for a two week tour of the states on a Grehound Buss
Went to Pheonix for the Formula 1 Grand Prix when they held it on the city streets. Nigel Mansel span his Ferrari directly in front of where i was standing. I got a picture of him walking past me back to the pit. But ive since lost the picture. Cant remember much about the city, but i was there in March, the weather was wonderful and the Greyhound Bus station was less than 100 yards fron the entrance to the track. Oh and when i came out of the bus station the first person i spoke to was from Watford, ENGLAND. I thought, Bloody Brits, they're everywhere.
Left Pheonix that night on the bus and headed North. Got out that night in a place called Falgstaff, there was snow on the ground and i was in shorts and a t-shirt. Froze my knackers off. No one said in the tourist guide, Pheonix HOT, Flagfstaff, Really COLD.

Side note, Greyhound Buss trips. WOW, what an experience. Dont think i would do that again. Except there was a 'interesting' incident in Tallahassie FL, involing local lass. But we wont go there.
