Tried my ski gear last night and this morning. Last night was 24-28F and I was quite comfortable. This morning was about 35 and I was sweating. Ski pants definately too warm above freezing for me, though I had them over my jeans and thermals. The gloves were warmer than any riding gloves I have tried so far. Thought they may be too bulky but I had no problems using controls. They are precurved like riding gloves and made for flexability. Don't have riding pants yet so I can't compare.

I tried on my ski gear on the weekend, it was warm also in the middle of the afternoon when we got some sun and found some deep powder. How did you find shifting in your boots?

Ski clothes are excellent for riding in cold weather. I often wear my 'bibed' ski pants with the suspender things and my ski gloves too. They're tough and obviously warm. I have a couple of older pairs that I don’t worry about getting a bit messed up 'cos ski gear can run very expensive these days.

I used an inexpensive pair of pants I bought mainly for sledding with my kids. Even got them on clearance.

Skiing....the Polish sport!
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.
