It's different...all black guys are not friends, and all white guys are not their enemies. The observation here is that if the word itself is supposed to be taboo...how can it be taboo when it's OK for blacks to use it on each other? If it's a racially derogatory word, then the same furor should hit whether it's used by a black guy or a white guy. It's double standard, pure and simple, IMHO.
