Well Phil I guess I better get busy installing that VOMITORIUM I have thinking about. Basicaly a tile room with industrial strength garbage disposal in the floor with a fire house to wash the place down. 1/2qt of shine? yep need a Vomitorium. So who is coming or talking? mark

damn....I'm early....I've been in Orlando since Thursday and I'll only be here another 9 days. Plenty of bikes around (with helmet-less riders) teasing me. It will be in the 80's most of the week. This ain't fair!

Would love to come down, will have 4 fresh weeks of vacation after 01 Jan....will have to trailer down to JAX, then ride from there....My frikkin Astro Van gets like 12 mpg while towing the trailer...may be worth it though...count me in.

Update: Talked to Mark (okie54). The weekend of Jan 21 is now written in stone. He has some room in the house but we should reserve that for the women folk and those delicate men that cannot stand to sleep outdoors! Also found out that Pure Triumph of Ft. Lauderdale rents Bonnevilles now and plan on renting Speedmasters and Americas!! I will find out ASAP.
Just got off the phone with them. The insurance handler just did a policy change which changes everything for Pure Triumph. What this means is they need to get it sorted out so it may be a couple of weeks before they can give any definitive information. I will keep checking....

Just spoke with Pure Triumph in Fort Lauderdale. They are not renting yet. I told them of our up coming plans. So No Go as of today. But was told to keep checking back. Who knows if enough people email and call they might move a little faster on getting those rentals ready. Fort Liquerdale is about a 1 and 1/2 hour putt to the country north of Lake Okeechobee. Sorry the only twisties and elevation changes are the ones to the on ramps to I-95. But beutiful scenery and who else gets to ride in January

Mark made mention about a 90cc dirt bike, an ATV, and a 1/4 mile dirt track out back of his property. I figure we give lots of liquor to the yoots, show them the dirt stuff, and turn them loose. Ought to be worth a couple of laughs, eh?

Funny you guys mention gators. I am looking into getting some rocker patches made up made with "GATOR RALLY 07" to go under the BA.COM patch. Course any suggestion would be appreciated. Cool if this turns into any annual winter event.

O.K....I'm seeing a "Okeechobee" on the northern tip of the lake on Mapquest, but no "Okeechobee city". Is that the same place? And what is the weather typically in that area for mid January so I will know what equipment to bring. I know I know....questions, questions, questions.....

Yota, You get to be the official activites director like whats her name on the LOVE boat. We got the following competions; Fire ant mound sitting, Steve Irwin Scuba with Gators, Pentacostal Snake Charming,see who can get the most teeth knocked out by going into a local bar dressed in pink and asking a Red Neck "Darlin would you buy me a beer". My favorite a Depends event. Everyone puts on a depends adult diaper, drinks beer for four hours, at the end of four hours we weigh the depends to see who P#ssed their pants the most and they win a Free Beer. Mark

Sorry about the confusion. The locals call the town of Okeechobee, Okeechobee city. Okeechobee is used when you are talking about the lake. You are right there is no Okeechobee city. My place is 8 miles north of Okeechobee just off of Hwy 441.

Ok picture this... two drunk yutes, a can of gasoline, a fire ant hill, a match and a bunch of equally drunk geezers sitting around on lawn chairs egging them on.
The two drunk yutes find a famous Florida fire ant hill, start poking it with a stick to stir them up, find that this activity only pisses them off, someone suggests napalming them with gasoline, someone produces the can of gasoline, two drunk yutes take the can of gasoline and very liberally smother the fire ant hill with it, then they start looking for something to light it with, they search around a find a match, walk over to the previously saturated fire ant hill (read a slight amount of time has passed since the saturation), two drunk yutes bend over and strike the match thus igniting the now blossoming vapor cloud rising from the fire ant mound. Resulting in a massive explosion which not only renders the drunk yutes hairless and flash blind, but also blows now really pissed off fire ants all over hells half acre stinging the bejesus out of everything and everybody in the blast radius. Good times... good times...
