I know I'm probably wasting key strokes here, but I believe this "sandbox"(not to mention the excrement) analogy is a little beneath your normal high standards of insight.(and I DO believe that you have high standards)

My suggestion, for what's it's worth, is that the "garage collection" need not be a done at such a contant interval.

I believe that the vast majority of people who post here haven't stepped into a "sandbox" in many o' year.
