Reid, I am with you. I got a big scare on the way back from Georgia two years ago. In addition to the plugs, I have also added this little gadget to my full face. http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/windjammer/helmet-wind-blocker.htm
It has eliminated the wind noise in my KBC helmet. Now, when I go with the open face, that is another story.
