My 17 yr old son and I were out enjoying the absolutely beautiful weather here in Northern Virginia yesterday. Decided to head up to Thornton Gap and give it a look. Traffic was pretty light so we kicked it in pretty good... son leading the way on his Yamaha FZ6 and me trailing on the BA. I stayed back a respectable distance watching him do his thing in the twisties and then decided to actually try and keep up... headed into a nice right/left switchback at a pretty good clip and low and behold scrapped the heel of my left boot about half way into the sweep left. It kind of startled me a little then I thought... WTF I DID IT! Anyway, we got to the top and my son pulled over and I pulled over next to him... he gave me a big high five (he said he saw me in his mirror!). Made me feel pretty good!
