Can anyone tell me which metric cruiser models have aftermarket lightbars that will fit the Speedmaster yoke holes? Honda Shadow? Any assistance appreciated.

JC Whitney sell a lightbar for 88-99 Honda Shadows that comes close to fitting our bikes. The mounting holes aren't in quite the right place and need redrilling. Their part number is 01ZX1176W. Phil (BonnyUSA) has done a write-up on fitting these to our bikes, which I've got on the website in my signature.

Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax

Cheers for that. I'm asking because here in Europe we've got a big mail order bike equipment place in Germany called Louis (www.louis.de) that sells a shedload of light bars at good prices--just none for Triumphs. They have one for a Honda Shadow and I'm deciding whether to take the risk of ordering. I'll let you know.

If you get it take pics of the fitting etc and maybe even write up something on how you went about it and I'll include it on my site for others.

You can fabricate a bracket to fit almost any lightbar. I made one to move the Triumph lightbar forward about two inches to accommodate the Memphis Fats windshield. You must look VERY closely to see it. I just cut some ¼ inch steel sheet to fit what I wanted, drilled four holes, painted it black and voila.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
