After a recent slow-speed drop on the right side I mangled up my TBA stock pipes .. not enough to affect performance but just enough for me to know I did it. I ordered some BUB slip-ons and am wondering if there are any opinions amongst the brethren?

Just one -
Try to keep it upright after you get the new Bubs put on.

All in fun. We've all dropped a bike or two. Some admit it easier than others. The Bubs will do nicely. Many seem to go for the Thunder pipes and they're nice also. In reality - anything that sounds louder than a sewing machine will be a vast improvement.

Yep.
Dropped mine in the second week.
Snapped the clutch lever.
I kept the broken one and everytime I think about
that little event I go to the basement and
use it to thunk my forehead a few times!

DANG!!! Now I got to go to the basement!

NOT ME!!!
I didn't doink my pipe!
Chris, I don't advise you to use the old pipe
to whack yerself!!
It's MUCH bigger then a clutch lever
therefore the ratio of A+B=C
(Where:
A = Whack forehead with part I screwed up
B = Walk away consious
C = Probably won't do it again!)

No longer applies!!

By the way, since no one has answered the original question - Bubs are excellent pipes!
Have fun, but try to keep the rubber side down eh.

Not sure on triumphs but my friend put them on his sabre recently and they are very nice pipes. He did end up ordering a smaller set of baffles from them. The ones they came with were ear splitting. I have heard them on a ba and they sounded really nice.

Thanks all..
I did a pretty lousy job in knocking out the first baffles on my stock pipes.. they sounded good but looked like hell on the inside and looked like hell on the outside from dropping it the day after it's 500 mile service. So i have been whacking my head with anything I could get my hands on lately. Hopefully the new pipes will give me a chance to heal (everything but the eardrums)

They are finally on and it was such an ordeal to get them on that I decided to take it to my mechanic to rejet and adjust the carbs.. so I'm dead in the water until Saturday... but the bike sure sounded great getting there!

I have them on my Speedy. They fit just great.Your going to love them..I run mine with the baffles in.You will have to jet the bike up & take the air injection stuff off-You can get it from New Bonniville..I use Truxston needles,2 shims with a freak box.Nology coils,Nology wires.18tooth primary gear.I just got the bike off the Dyno jet.The bike is making 60.95HP@7700rpms 45.88lbs of torque@5800rpms
The Air/Fuel runs 13/1 with the exception that it dropps down to 12/1 from 5000 to 6000rpm then jumps right back up to 13/1 to7500 rpm then to 13.8/1 to 7900rpm.
thats about it...if I knew how to post the dyno chart I would..the curves look really good.the torque&Hp meet@5300rpms

I think bub.com has a sound clip..it's almost funny -to me- they sound kind of like a Harley on steriods!Or with a bunch of compression.Oh yea, you can sure tell the difference--especially after you put the needle & clips to it. before that it pop and back fired--you've got to do that other wise it's guttless..made a bunch of noise..but didn't go anywhere..another thing I forgot to mention was..it's got 40lbs of torque at 3200rpms--a nice wide torque band.I raced a sportster with straight pipes the otherday and blew him away..the guy weighed 65lbs more than I do..so that was some of it..
