THINKING ABOUT ADDING THE TRIUMPH FLYSCREEN TO MY TBA. ANY
EXPERIENCE WITH IT? MY MOTIVATION IS LESS THE LOOK AND MORE ABOUT REDUCING WIND BUFFETING AND NOISE AT HWY SPEEDS.
ANY COMMENTS APPRECIATED.

They work pretty well. Keeps wind pressure off your chest & deflects air from your face/head. It does NOT replace a full windshield.
BTW, I have a black one in very good condition that I'd consider selling.

They work best for riders under 6 foot or so. If you're 6 foot 2 or more the benefit is reduced but still helps take the wind off your chest as Mike says.

Try to keep the grin off your face. That way the flies don't get stuck in your teeth.

if you're still considering selling your black flyscreen, send me the original triumph part no. so i can be sure we're talking about the same thing and how much you want. i'm in connecticut so surface shipping works fine.

I put one on in August, and if I had to do it over, I would go with a bigger screen.

The Flyscreen does take more wind off my chest than I expected it to, but it directs it at the top of my helmet's faceshield, creating more noise than buffing. I still feel the wind on my shoulders and arms, of course.

I bought the Flyscreen for the looks, and did not expect a great deal of wind protection from it.

I fear the big Roadster screen would be a liability in cross winds, or when passing 18-wheelers on the Interstate, but I have no experience behind a big screen to really know for sure.

The Summer Screen looks more attractive to me than the Roadster, but that is due to the way my bike is set up.

If I were to buy another, I would buy this one:
SPORTECH CRUISE SERIES, but I have to admit - I don't know anyone else who has it, so I don't know how well it works.

While I was trying to make a decision last summer, reading all the threads I could find on this forum, I came to the conclusion that a screen purchase is a very personal buying decision, as we are all of different heights and weights, wear different helmet styles, and possess different riding styles - all of which make a difference as to what will work for you, and how well it will work.

You can spend a lot of money experimenting. Good luck.

As for the removable type - those that have them - do you really ever take them off? (Is that a reason to buy one? That it can be easily removed and put back on?) Just a thought.

I have the roadster screeen. It came on the bike. There are no problems with cross winds or trucks as I take it off in the summer and have ridden plenty without it. It does a good job of protection this time of year. I had some buffeting as others have said but loosened all the bolts and moved it around with great success. No buffeting until over 75-80 and then only slightly. I am 6' but have a 34" inseam so maybe a shorter torso. I rode a BA a few times with the the fly screen and loved it for summer. I take the roadster off in the summer but the chest blast gets old after a while. It gave a good chest protection and a fairly clean head blast, which is what a fly screen should do.
