anybody else out there use Yahoo for a home page.Logged in this morning pop up ad for Buell...It said Buell best cornering machine ever made...I almost choked on my coffee. I always thought of Buell as a sad joke.Anyone familiar enough with them to say if there is any inkling of truth in that claim.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

My yahoo home pade has an ad for eBay on it right now. I haven't seen the Buell ad. But, I guess when you believe that your company is the only company on the planet, you can claim anything.

I was always under the impression that Buell has a good chassis for cornering, but the engine was the weak link.

Yeah I think maybe on paper they look good. Real short wheel base, steep rake, etc.

Rode a few buells and coming from sport riding I can say they do handle incredible. The flickability is almost bicycle like. As far as performance the engine is nice as I favor the grunt of a V over screaming 4cyl japanese bikes. Though I do not like the abrupt drop off at such low rpms for a sport. They are fairly quick though and tons of fun to ride. Not sure about long term ownership with the engine but it is not really a HD engine.

It's essentially a Sportster engine - went to the factory - saw them running down the same production line. They said the engine puts out anywhere from about 45 HP to over 100 HP depending on the configuration.

Basically just the case is the same. Head, valving, cam, etc are all different. I believe the current setup is just over 100hp at the crank. They sound real cool too, except for the constant fan whine.
