...how long is it going to take for Triumph to come out with a chain kit with 18/42 sprockets?
I bet they already have! Just last Saturday, March 24th, 07, the parts guy at the House of Power in Palm Bay told me that Triumph does NOT sell a chain kit. He wanted to sell me a chain sans front sprocket and rear ring for 206 bucks! Triumph eStore sold me the bonneville america chain kit for 189 bucks. DID chain 42t steel ring and 17t front sprocket.
In the thread about 2007 front sprocket covers, a stealership told us that he didn't know if the 07 cover would interchange with pre07 bikes.
What we have is a stealership network that could care less about anything more than selling bikes.
Sad isn't it? All it really takes is a little time to figure out that underpaid employees and overpaid sales managers don't equate to anyone knowing anything about the products they sell.
We really have to watch our backs when conversing with 99% of the triumph stealerships. This is one time that the 1% crowd is enlightened. As there are about 1% of dealerships that are excellant.
