Think of it like riding a bicycle. It lets you go faster, but it is in theory a little harder to push. But these motors have plenty of grunt. I think guts will be a limmiting factor in top end
You should be ok without many mods, but there are a few very simple mods that most people do in the name of just plain better running motors that also help the power that should make it ok for ya.
