I'm not surprized that the classic bike purest's don't understand the design concept. The most exciting aspect of this build is that it will inspire other's to experiment with the NTB platform.
You know, these NTBs have a finite lifespan. Sooner or later, Triumph, in their infinite wisedom, will discontinue the line and move on to the next hot concept. What will keep the line current (and profitable for Triumph) is sales of new bikes. If Kevin's Bobber influences only a single person to go out and buy a new Bonneville, then the entire NTB community owes the man our thanks.
