I love the way they look on the bike as well as how they sound. I've never riden with the baffles out - they sound great and loud enough with them in. They have a great throaty sound. After 6000 miles they are a bit louder (especially at high rpms) than when new, but if you want to quiet them down, it's very easy to add additioinal baffling material. I got to compare the SS with both older and newer TORs before buying and the SS blew them away. Plus, as I said before, they look better. I've never had a complaint, but have gotten lots of compliments. Here's a pic of the bike taken 8/05 after installing.
