The company had problems that year, not the Bonnies. Norton-Villiers-Triumph went broke in 1977 and sold the marketing rights to the Meriden Cooperative. The '77 Bonnies mirrored the '76's with the exception of a new color scheme [Pacific Blue (US)/Polychrome Blue (UK) and White].
Here's the '77 I traded-in for the BA ('79 color scheme):
