For what it's worth, I fitted a pair of Kuryakyn Ellipse mirrors this weekend and didn't need any adapters. Couple of SS washers top and bottom with the shortest allen bolt that comes with the mirrors and a locking washers. Look great, lowers the 'profile' and widens the visibility. I got the convex. Vibration is no more noticeable than with stock.
