Your brother will continue to touch lives (such as our own here) because of your telling of his courage and strength. Thank you Roy, and thank you Gordon for sharing with us.

The story of throwin' the keys to your ailing brother really got to me, my friend. What a great way to remember him.

May these joyess moments of his life soon be the overriding thoughts and memories of his family and friends who he touched while he rode amongst us.

My condolences,
Dwight

Buddy, I haven't been checking in as much the last few days, and I just want you to know I am thinking of you and your family. You couldn't be a better guy Gordon, and I am certain your brother knew this when he left this earth. From your description, it appears he was cut from the same cloth. I bet you made his fight that much more bearable. We need more like you in this world.

Godspeed, and I look forward to riding with you soon bro.

Ryan

Gordon, I missed your post as I've not been checking in regularly. My condolences to you and your family, as well as to his family. the story of him taking your SM for a ride was beautiful. What a picture to carry in your memory. Your post was also a wonderful eulogy to him.

Peace be with you.

Gordon- you must think of the good- your brother is done suffering and you put a smile on his face with the ride. Outstanding testimony by the way.

I'm sorry for the loss of your brother, Gordon. He sounded like a very brave man. You and your family are very special for taking care of him instead of leaving his care to strangers in the medical field, like many would have done. The story about him on your Speedmaster was very touching and will do much to relieve some of your grief. My prayers and thoughts are with you. God bless,
Paul

I did convey that story at his viewing in my eulogy for him. A couple of his buddies are Harley guys and we always rib each other. I had to add to my story, " because my brother was a medical microbiologist and the smartest man I know, it seemed only logical that he took his last ride on the only true choice... my Triumph. This kinda broke the ice alittle and would have made my brother smile. Lots of people said lots of great things about my brother, it did my heart proud. At his funeral service, his nineteen year old son ( got his dad's talent for music) played the piano for his father and then said how much he missed him, loved him and wished he could tell him. He said he had a vision of Roy, up in the clouds, playing his guitar and telling him everything was alright now.... what a great vision!! Anyhow, thanks again for everyone's support and tell the people you hold dear that you love them.... ride safe, my brothers and sisters....Gordon

Truer words never spoken Gordon. I talked to a woman I know over Friar John's way last night who possesses great wisdom and fortitude and my Texas sister called me at work this afternoon. We talk often, but she rarely calls at work, her timing was perfect. We sorted out some papers I'm helping her with and had a great conversation .

Keep the spirits up man
