Sorry, sould have been more clear on that. It's suppose to generate a lot heat for the pilot. AMA, Rider, and Motor Cyclist have each done road tests on the new FJR, but I believe MC did a side-by-side, 06 and an 05 or 04. Each made clear that the 06 made much less heat. The MC article mentioned pre 06 models created enough heat to actually be painful if you're in traffic.
But prices on pre-06s should be pretty good, and they are suppose to be bulletproof.
If you can get a ride on one, you might find the problem is a 'non-problem' for you. Like the Connie 'buzz'. A coworker rides a Connie and doesn't know what people mean when they say the Connie is 'buzzy'.
