Hello,
Considering to get a BCE-024 CR-II carb kit from Bella Corse for my 790 BA. Anybody with any experiance with this setup? I'm also wondering what happens to the TPS if you just disconnect it. The same for the heater function.
Regards
Hasse

I've got the CRS carbs on my bike. Your ignitor will function just fine without the TPS, the TPS is just an additional input for the timing advance. And the lack of heater function is one thing that hasn't given me any problems.

The CRs are fun carbs once you get them set up. Very easy to re-jet/re-needle, and the idle air adjust screws are in plain sight from the side.

Carb icing

"[Carburetor] Icing can be acute when the air is moist (70 percent or higher relative humidity) and the ambient temperature is between 2°C and 13°C (35°F and 55°F)."

If I recall correctly, the venturi effect is largely resonsible for the icing.

I hate it when this happens:

Hello,
You mention that the CR-II carbs 'are fun' - that sounds good. Are they worth the investment also? Bella Corse mentions a 10% increase in power and torque, could you verify this? It would be nice with some more real life experiance before I go ahead with this project.

Unfortunately I cannot verify; my bike came with the dealership with the CRS carbs, so I've never ridden the thing with the stock carbs, dynoed, and then ridden with the CRS carbs, and dynoed, and compared the dyno charts.
